ADMINISTRATIVE AND REGULATORY LAW

The Administrative and Economic Regulation Law Department provides services with added value, which is required and in turn acknowledged by a client. Such value lies in two essential factors such as training and experience of the professionals in the team.

Thus, most team members have followed master courses in Administrative Law and have many years providing advice and litigation in matters associated to this area of law and also in matters relating to constitutional law, which is becoming increasingly important in this type of issues.

In this respect advice and representation is primarily provided to clients subject to regulatory frameworks (including companies engaged in telecommunication, insurance, banking, customs), by participating in their disputes with the national control authorities and, with increasing frequency, with Provinces and City Authorities with respect to their limits or advancements on the business of our clients.

We should note the vast experience of this team in giving advice to our clients for their participation in government procurements, throughout the selection process and during the subsequent performance of the administrative contract.

Recent relevant cases:
  • Successful motion at the National Supreme Court of Justice, dismissing an amparo action against a rate change where the petitioner alleged the need for a prior public hearing, against the interest of our client.
  • Advice provided in procurements called by different provinces to provide the 911 emergency call service.
  • Advice in procurement for mass supply of notebook computers, called by the National Government.
